The winegrowers are very busy in the vineyards! It is the time of "Palissage"
The goal: to separate the shoots and hold them between two lifting wires. To do this, the winegrower pulls two wires through clips attached to posts and distributes the vine shoots between these two wires. This process is crucial for the health of the vines. It prevents the leaves from sticking together. This way, they can make the most of the sun and are well ventilated, which protects them from rot and diseases. Here too, the process is carried out entirely by hand. A lengthy task that requires patience!
