Champagne Boulard-Bauquaire

The 8-hectare winery is run by Christophe Boulard, the 8th generation of his family, and the Champagne is produced from vine to wine. The wines are made in small quantities to preserve the character of each terroir. The Champagnes are mainly made from grapes grown in the Massif de Saint Thierry, where the soil is characterized by a lower limestone layer and an upper sand layer. This gives the wine a specific taste.

He also owns old vineyards in the famous Montagne de Reims and is proud to cultivate some of the oldest vines in this area, which allows him to offer a wider and more complex range of Champagnes.

Sustainable viticulture is a working philosophy. This method aims to preserve the natural environment, biodiversity, and soil quality as much as possible. With this in mind, he has stopped using insecticides and practices grassing and organic amendments to reduce the use of herbicides. The winery is certified for sustainable viticulture and HVE (High Environmental Value).
