Champagne Helene Beaugrand
Hélène can proudly look at the vineyards that the daring Gustave, her great-grandfather, planted in Montgueux to realize his crazy dream. Thanks to the perseverance of his son Léon, the wines of Montgueux have been allowed to bear the designation Champagne since September 24, 1927. The vineyard, sometimes referred to as "Montrachet de Champagne", is located on a small mountain bathed in sunshine. The soil of soft Turonian chalk and pebbles allows the vines to thrive without water stress and to produce well-ripened Chardonnay grapes that are rich in aromatic complexity .
