Champagne Baillette-Prudhomme
Nestled on the slopes of the Montagne de Reims, the Baillette-Prudhomme winery benefits from a privileged "1er Cru" terroir. The vines are cultivated with care and deep respect for the soil. Their deep roots absorb minerals from the chalk, which lends the Champagnes a beautiful finesse.
The winery has been in existence for four generations. After the death of the spirited Jean Baillette-Prudhomme, his wife Marie-France and his two daughters Laureen and Justine took over the 5-hectare estate in Trois-Puits.
Marie-France manages the winery with her experienced eye, while Justine contributes with all her warmth to the essential operations of the business. Laureen, a practical woman, is responsible for the vineyard and handles winemaking, cellar work, and sales.
The unique feature of the winery is its blending of Champagnes with a high proportion of reserve wines, which gives them elegance and maturity. The bottles then patiently mature in an oasis of purity at a depth of 14 meters in the beautiful cellars carved into the chalk cliffs. The long aging in the cellar allows for minimal dosage of the Champagnes, thus highlighting the complexity of their aromas.
Each Champagne is suited to a specific moment of enjoyment.
