Champagne Gosset

Champagne Gosset

The origins of the house date back to 1584, when Pierre Gosset, lord and alderman of Aÿ, decided to open a wine trading house. Sixteen generations in direct lineage would follow him in Aÿ-Champagne, distinguishing themselves and continuing the house's savoir-faire, respecting a family craft rich in tradition. At the end of 1993, the house joined the Renaud-Cointreau family group, which has continued the Gosset style ever since.

The house currently produces around one million bottles of champagne annually. Gosset has remained true to the human ecosystem and sources its grapes from 160 wine-growing families, some of whom have been working with the company for several generations. The house also promotes an environmentally friendly approach to vineyard cultivation and winemaking.

A unique bottle.
In 1760, Jean Gosset first used what would later become the emblem of the Gosset house: the antique bottle. It is adorned with a label called "necklace with medallion", which is unique and exclusive in Champagne.

An inimitable wine style.
The Gosset style stands for a great mineral freshness combined with profound vinosity.
A unique style resulting from a winemaking method that preserves the original freshness of the grape aromas, ensures the potential for long aging of the wines on their lees and in the cellar, and above all offers Champagnes that are both elegant and complex.

Odilon de Varine, a trained oenologist and Deputy General Manager and Cellar Master since 2006, relies on a team led by another Cellar Master: Gabrielle Malagu.

How to Find Your Perfect Champagne

Four simple steps to the ideal champagne for every occasion
1

Determine occasion

Consider the occasion for which the champagne will be served. Celebrations, an aperitif, or with a meal?
2

Choose flavor profile

Do you prefer fruity-fresh, elegant, or full-bodied aromas? The dosage determines the sweetness of the Champagne.
3

Recognizing Quality

Pay attention to origin, vintage, and maturation period. Prestige cuvées offer exceptional quality for special moments.
4

Perfect Serving Temperature

Serve champagne at 8-10°C. The correct temperature optimally unfolds the full range of aromas.
