Champagne Philbert

Champagne Philbert

The history of the winery dates back to the end of the 19th century. The ancestors cultivated the vineyards before Victor Philbert decided in 1923 to start producing champagne bottles. Later, one of his descendants, Henri, became a winemaker and founded the brand "Champagne Philbert." Six generations have followed since its establishment. Today, the Champagne house is still owned by the founding family.

Since 2021, it has been managed by Mr. Yannick Dubois, the vineyard manager and producer of the house's champagnes.
The estate is primarily located in Rilly la Montagne and the surrounding villages of Ludes, Taissy, Montbré, and Villers Allerand, all classified as 1er Cru. A special location on the slopes between the regional natural park and the vineyards in one of the oldest wine villages.

The three Champagne grape varieties are cultivated: Pinot Meunier, which provides power and character, Pinot Noir, which ensures fruitiness, and Chardonnay, which brings freshness and finesse.

Sustainable viticulture is practiced without insecticides and herbicides, and each individual plot, the oldest of which is over 60 years old, is cultivated with special care. During winemaking, the winery prevents malolactic fermentation to preserve freshness in the champagnes.

How to Find Your Perfect Champagne

Four simple steps to the ideal champagne for every occasion
1

Determine occasion

Consider the occasion for which the champagne will be served. Celebrations, an aperitif, or with a meal?
2

Choose flavor profile

Do you prefer fruity-fresh, elegant, or full-bodied aromas? The dosage determines the sweetness of the Champagne.
3

Recognizing Quality

Pay attention to origin, vintage, and maturation period. Prestige cuvées offer exceptional quality for special moments.
4

Perfect Serving Temperature

Serve champagne at 8-10°C. The correct temperature optimally unfolds the full range of aromas.
