Champagne Delong Marlène

Champagne Delong Marlene

The winery was founded in 1966 by Gérard Delong in Allemant. Today it is managed by two passionate young winemakers and nature lovers, Marlène and her husband Damien, who produce all the house's champagnes from harvest to bottling.
The estate is located in the southern part of the Marne region and covers 5.30 hectares across three villages on the Sézanne hills: Allemant, Broyes, and Sézanne.
The chalky subsoil and the very diverse soils of sand, clay, silt, and limestone offer very special advantages for the thriving of the vines.
With the greatest care throughout the year, Marlène and Damien cultivate the three traditional Champagne grape varieties (Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay) in old vineyards averaging 40 years of age.

Each plot is unique, creating diverse and complex champagnes.
Champagne producers from father to daughter and proud of their roots,Vignerons Indépendants(independent winemakers), they are free to create wines according to their own ideas. The house is located in the southern part of the Marne region and covers 5.30 hectares. Being close to nature means for Marlène: great respect for the traditions in Champagne, the environment, the ecosystem, the flora and fauna. They prefer sustainable viticulture, as well as the flawless and undisturbed expression of nature, the grapes and the wines, so that particularly open, expressive and characterful terroir-driven champagnes are produced.

How to Find Your Perfect Champagne

Four simple steps to the ideal champagne for every occasion
1

Determine occasion

Consider the occasion for which the champagne will be served. Celebrations, an aperitif, or with a meal?
2

Choose flavor profile

Do you prefer fruity-fresh, elegant, or full-bodied aromas? The dosage determines the sweetness of the Champagne.
3

Recognizing Quality

Pay attention to origin, vintage, and maturation period. Prestige cuvées offer exceptional quality for special moments.
4

Perfect Serving Temperature

Serve champagne at 8-10°C. The correct temperature optimally unfolds the full range of aromas.
