From the 1950s, when viticulture in Champagne gained momentum, Olivier's grandfather, Marcel Marteaux, became a winegrower. At the same time, he developed a vine nursery to produce the vines necessary for planting his vineyard and also those of other winegrowers in the region.
Thereafter, his father Joel Marteaux further expanded the vineyard and developed the business. In 1996, the construction of a pressing center was decided to control this important phase of champagne production.

 

In 1998, after studying viticulture and oenology, Olivier Marteaux settled down and further developed winemaking as a Récoltant-Manipulant. On 8 hectares of vineyards in Azy-sur-Marne, a few kilometers from Chateau-Thierry, Olivier and his wife Laetitia now produce champagne with great respect for nature.
The winery is ideally situated on the partly steep slopes of the Marne river. The couple manages their vineyards using sustainable farming methods to protect the environment: complete or partial greening of parcels, use of organic fertilizers, etc. The size and diversity of their vineyards allow them to produce very fruity wines and an atypical rosé champagne.
