Champagne Léguillette-Romelot
The history of the house began in Charly-sur-Marne at the start of the 18th century with the planting of the first vines. Their great-great-grandparents had been from this village for many generations and were farmers and ploughmen.
In 1968, the marriage of Mr. Léguillette and Mrs. Romelot led to the union of the two families and their vineyards. The production of champagne under the name Léguillette-Romelot was born!
Today, the Champagne House cultivates 8 hectares of vineyards in the communes of Charly-sur-Marne, Crouttes-sur-Marne, Villiers-Saint-Denis, and Gland, just 80 km from Paris. Located in the western Marne Valley, the vineyard is mainly planted with Pinot Meunier. This grape variety is particularly well-suited to the clay-limestone slopes.
