The winegrowers worked
tirelessly in the vineyards to preserve the grapes as best as possible.
The harvest began on September 7th in the Aube department, but on some
plots that were too heavily affected by climatic conditions, there was very
little or no harvest.
In the
Marne and Aisne departments, the harvest began a few days later and
continued until the end of September, until the Chardonnay grapes were ripe.
There were many questions about the quality of the grapes, but
fortunately, the quality was good, even if the yield was lower.
Some winegrowers even
expect an exceptional vintage!
