Champagne for a Wedding

May 10, 2023

Are you planning your wedding and looking for the perfect champagne to celebrate with your loved ones?
Look no further, we have the best recommendations for you! We make your wedding day even more special with our unique selection of champagne.

How many bottles of champagne do you need per guest?

With a classic 0.75L bottle, you can serve 6 to 7 glasses. At a cocktail party, guests usually don't limit themselves to just one glass. So don't hesitate to plan one bottle for every three people. Our experience shows that guests drink a bit more when champagne is available ;-) You can also offer a few bottles of Rosé Champagne for those who prefer it.

For example, for a:

Wedding of 50 people
Reception: 17 bottles of champagne for 2 glasses of champagne per guest.
Dessert: 9 bottles of champagne, or 1 glass of champagne per guest.

Wedding of 80 people
Reception: 27 bottles of champagne for 2 glasses of champagne per guest.
Dessert: 14 bottles of champagne for 1 glass of champagne per guest.

Wedding of 120 people
Reception: 40 bottles of champagne for 2 glasses of champagne per guest.
Dessert: 20 bottles of champagne for 1 glass of champagne per guest.

Always plan for a few extra bottles, as it would be a shame to run out, and the unopened bottles won't go to waste anyway.

And why not offer champagne in a large Magnum or Jeroboam bottle?
Guests will surely remember it!

When should you order?
It's best to order champagne well in advance, as it can be stored in your cellar under good conditions without losing its quality.

Which champagne should you offer?

We recommend a Brut Champagne or Extra Brut! These are champagnes that combine finesse, elegance, freshness, and lightness, and they appeal to most people. They pair wonderfully with savory appetizers.

We have put together a selection of the best champagnes for a wedding!
