Description

Composition: 60% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, 10% Pinot Meunier - 5 years old - 5 gr/L sugar dosage

Aromas: The Anthracite Brut has a beautiful golden color. The nose is powerful with citrus and brioche notes. On the palate, the Champagne develops aromas of red and exotic fruits. Elegant and harmonious Champagne with an outstanding finish!

Occasion: Excellent as an aperitif!

And this is what Natalie Lumpp, TOP Sommelière, writes about the Prestige Champagne Corbon:

"You get truly characterful, independent Champagne from the confident winemaker Agnès Corbon. Try the Prestige brut Champagne Corbon – and you'll understand what I mean. Even in its color, it presents itself in a rich golden yellow, and while its scent initially reminds one of Boskoop apples and lovage, it becomes increasingly clear and fruity – just think of a basket full of ripe mirabelle plums. On the palate, it shows a wonderful balance: dry, it appears very lean and with moderate acidity. It retains its yellow-fleshed juicy character, but also has a lot of spice and a nutty touch. I am impressed by its pleasant maturity, simply perfect for winter.

Winemaker Agnès and her father Claude place great importance on allowing the Champagnes to mature in their cellar for at least five years. They are advocates that their Champagnes undergo as few treatments as possible, i.e., no filtration or enrichment.

If you are looking for a characterful Champagne for the holidays, you will be delighted with the Prestige brut from Corbon. All that's missing are the canapés – with salmon and a little foie gras…

Award: awarded 3 stars in Gerhard Eichelmann's book "Champagne - Edition 2015" and described as follows: "It shows good concentration, and ripe fruit, fine freshness and bite, is an aperitif Champagne."

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
