Description

Composition: the Brut Prestige consists of 50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Meunier. It is made exclusively from the "têtes de cuvées" - the best of the grapes - from both banks of the Marne Valley. Half of the wine ferments in oak barrels, which makes the champagne rounder. It has a pale straw-yellow color with a slight golden shimmer and fine, delicately sparkling bubbles. 5g/l added sugar.

Aromas: very intense on the nose, with notes of ripe fruit and fine aromas of fig compote and red berries. The palate is initially rich and mellow, with a beautiful freshness due to the Chardonnay.

Recommendation: Perfect as an aperitif and, thanks to its intensity and fullness, an ideal accompaniment to an entire meal.

Award: Gold Medal in Dussert-Gerber 2020

Natalie Lumpp, TOP sommelier recommends the Brut Prestige Extra Brut from Champagne Thévenet-Delouvin:

" If you prefer something spicier and absolutely dry – I highly recommend the Champagne Thevenet-Delouvin Prestige Extra Brut. Extra Brut is quite rare – for the cellar master, it presents a challenge to achieve the perfect balance – with under 5g residual sugar. The champagne shimmers with a strong straw color and slight bronze reflections. Even in the aroma, you can sense its rich and spicy character – think of walnuts, brittle, and almonds. You can literally smell the terroir - mineral. It then becomes increasingly floral. On the palate, it has a bite, remaining salty – mineral and quite full-bodied. The Extra Brut pairs very well with spicy dishes – whether you enjoy it with some hummus or legumes. A wonderful enrichment for the connoisseur."

Note on possible allergens: contains alcohol, sulfites, and residual sugar

Frequently Asked Questions

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
