Description

Composition: 50% Pinot Noir, 50% Pinot Meunier with 50% reserve wines. 7 g sugar/L. 2.5 years old.

Aromas: This Blanc de Noirs Champagne expresses the power of Pinot Noir and the roundness of Meunier. Its well-structured character with stone fruit aromas is for connoisseurs seeking authenticity. It has a lot of body and complexity.

Recommendation: it accompanies an aperitif or a meal.

And this is what Natalie Lumpp, TOP Sommelier, writes about the Carte Noire:

Champagne Carte Noire by Boulard-Bauquaire is a little spicier and absolutely "terroir-driven". In the glass, it shows a rich, powerful gold, and it smells of honey, toasted hazelnuts, almonds, and brioche. The more air the champagne gets, the more delicious cinnamon aromas and a hint of flint develop. Fine mature aromas give it a distinctive character. In the mouth, it is striking, powerful, and very long. I would love to enjoy it with almonds or crostini – or even with a crispy duck with red cabbage – the latter, of course, cooked with a cinnamon stick.

Note on possible allergens: contains alcohol, sulfites, and residual sugar

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
