Description

Composition: This Grand Cru Champagne is made from 55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay, 18% of which was aged in oak barrels. 3g added sugar.

Aromas: The nose opens with notes of hazelnut and fruit, followed by floral and buttery notes. This Extra Brut, mineral, offers a beautiful expression of the Grand Cru terroirs of the Montagne de Reims. The powerful body of the wine is accompanied by a beautiful minerality. On the palate, the aromas develop towards dried flowers, dried fruits and biscuit. In a vinous and lively style, this Extra Brut combines power and freshness. The finish is long with almond aromas, very mineral, chalky and distinctly salty.

Recommendation: As an aperitif with vegetable quiche. With food, with poultry or grilled fish.

Natalie Lumpp, TOP sommelier recommends Extra Brut Grand Cru from Champagne Hervy-Quenardel:

"For me, the perfect winter champagne. In the glass, it shows a powerful gold, appearing spicy and extremely mineral! Just think of salted almonds, then more aromas join in – lavender, baked bread crust, sandalwood... On the palate, it retains its minerality, and with only 3g residual sugar, you can't get enough of it. Also tastes delicious with bruschetta with olive tapenade and cured salmon with Christmas spices!!!

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
