Description

Blend: 70% Chardonnay, 25%
Pinot Noir and 5% Meunier, including 15% reserve wine aged in oak barrels. 6g sugar/L.

Aromas: Aromas of flowers and white-fleshed fruits give way to a slightly mineral and fresh palate with crisp fruit.

Recommendation: Ideal as an aperitif or with a fish dish.

Award: Hachette*: "The nose combines acacia and fresh butter, then moves towards stewed white fruits. Distinct brioche, with a hint of dried fruits and a mineral side, the palate seduces with its elegance. A flattering maturity."

Natalie Lumpp, TOP sommelier, writes the following about the "Fondateur 1er Cru" from Champagne Delaunois-Chanez:

"If you have tasted the Fondateur 1er Champagne from Champagne Delaunois-Chanez, you will never forget it! The golden gleaming Champagne has aromas of nougat, almonds, brittle, dark chocolate, and roasted mocha beansa true delight. On the palate, it delivers everything the aroma promises: round, powerful, and with a long finish. The winemaker Elodie has created a truly festive Christmas Champagne here.

I prefer to enjoy it after dinner – perfect with chocolate, cookies, or Stollen."

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
