Description

Composition: 75% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay, 5% Pinot Blanc. 9 g/L added sugar. 10% from an perpetual reserve, partly vinified in oak barrels. At least 3 years old.

Aromas: this champagne has a beautiful pale gold color with fine and delicate bubbles. On the nose, a beautiful ripeness, a floral scent of jasmine and hawthorn, underlined by a hint of red fruits, typical of the Côte des Bar. A finish of citrus fruits, oranges, and lemons. Unique elegance and structured complexity. On the palate, one perceives aromas of vineyard peach and plum jam, highlighted by notes of sweet spices, roast aromas, menthol, and smoke. The balance and richness of the wine are remarkable. The Chardonnay gives the wine a touch of freshness and elegance.

Recommendation: excellent as an aperitif with buttered toast, olive compote, verrines with cream cheese. A simple dish with grilled white fish.

Award: Gold Medal Concours Général Agricole

Natalie Lumpp, TOP Sommelière recommends Champagne Gautherot's Grande Reserve Brut:

"Today, the 12th generation sisters, Zoé and Eva Gautherot, are responsible for this champagne. The champagne, glowing in a rich light yellow, appears super multi-layered and full of character, distinguished by its spicy aromas, its fine fruitiness, reminiscent of oranges, yet it comes across as overall creamy and soft. On the palate, it truly seduces with its fruity melt and charming nature. A wonderful accompaniment also to meals such as pan-fried prawns with spaghetti, halibut in beurre blanc sauce, or even duck breast with orange sauce..."

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to the most important questions about our Champagne products and services

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
