Description

Blend: 60% Pinot Noir, 39% Chardonnay. The Pinot Noir primarily comes from Verzenay, Aÿ, and Mareuil sur Aÿ, the Chardonnay from Chouilly and Avize. Exclusive use of the "Cuvée" (first pressing). Fermentation takes place exclusively in oak barrels. Dosage: 8 g/L.

Aromas: A vintage champagne with golden-yellow reflections, testifying to the wine's maturity, as well as Bollinger's winemaking methods. On the nose: A first bouquet centered around small stone fruits with notes of Canadian apple, plum, and mirabelle, underpinned by a hint of honey. Then, aromas of blackberry, blackcurrant, cherry, and raspberry unfold; a true farandole of red fruits, mixed with an almond note. On the second nose, an exotic hint of mango merges with tertiary notes of vanilla and fine wood. On the palate: the attack is fleshy and full-bodied, a delicious mouth reminiscent of mirabelle jam. Texture and richness characterize the tasting. The finish combines notes of chocolate and citrus, bringing a tart touch prolonged by a nuance of slate. A wine of great generosity!

Recommendation: The creamy effervescence of Grande Année 2015 pairs perfectly with game, mushroom dishes, dried nuts, and red fruits.

The story behind it: La Grande Année embodies the savoir-faire that has always been passed down at Bollinger. It matures exclusively in small, used oak barrels. Champagne Bollinger has never abandoned this age-old method, as it promotes the development of extremely fine aromas. After long maturation on the lees, each bottle is still hand-riddled and disgorged today.

Frequently Asked Questions

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
