Description

Blend: 100% Cépages d’Autrefois: Pinot Blanc, Petit Meslier, Arbanne from the 2016 harvest. 7.9 g/L sugar dosage. Only 1,005 bottles. Matured in stainless steel tanks, with malolactic fermentation.

Aromas: This Champagne has beautiful, fine, and delicate bubbles and a golden color with bright yellow reflections. Delicate nose with light mineral notes, sea spray, then notes of peppermint, hazelnut, and pear. After aeration: notes of lemon, linden, and meadow daisy with accents of bergamot and lemongrass.

On the palate: soft and delicate with fine, creamy effervescence. The finish offers a remarkable surge of refinement, salinity, and fruity ripeness.

A mature Champagne that shines through the intensity of its delicacy.

This Champagne is presented in a special bottle and a very original wooden box. Each bottle is hand-tied and sealed with wax. Each back label is numbered to make your tasting a unique and magical moment.

Recommendation: Fine de Clair oysters. Pink shrimp, salmon tartare with salted butter, sushi, seafood, or even young Brillat-Savarin, fresh goat cheese. Blue lobster salad with citrus and avocado, steamed Skrei, broccolini snacks with citrus butter,...

The Story: This Champagne owes its existence to the old grape varieties planted in the "Clos" since 2007. Thus, directly in front of the winery's cellar, on 80 ares, Arbanne, Petit Meslier, and Pinot Blanc grow side by side – white grape varieties that had almost disappeared in Champagne. The blend of these three special white grapes proved to be truly exceptional. This Champagne is surprising and unique. Furthermore, the Mont Dorin plot is worked with a draft horse. This fully aligns with the environmentally friendly approach that has been ours for many years, officially recognized in 2019 with H.V.E. 3 and V.D.C. certifications. This practice thus promotes the development of fauna (e.g., ladybugs) and flora (poppies, borage, cornflowers, daffodils, etc.).

Award: Hachette** for the Mont Dorin 2015

In English: "This Champagne comes from a Clos planted in 2007 with Petit Meslier, Pinot Blanc, and Arbanne, old Champagne grape varieties, and has only one flaw: its confidential volumes. The nose is intense, mature, and elegant, unfolding a wide range of aromas: roasting, toasted bread, hazelnut, butter, English cream, light tobacco."

Note on possible allergens: contains alcohol, sulfites, and residual sugar

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
