Description

Composition: 70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir. Minimum 4 years old. 3g sugar added/L.

Aromas: this champagne offers a beautiful range of aromas, white flowers on the nose. On the palate, it is smooth, creamy, fresh and really well balanced.

Recommendation: perfect as an aperitif.

Award: Hachette*: "The nose opens with pear, white flowers and grilled hazelnut, then reveals notes of quince, yellow fruits and fruit paste. In harmony with the aroma, the mouth develops, lively at the start, with fullness and richness, enlivened by a long finish with citrus nuances. Character and elegance."

And this is what Natalie Lumpp, TOP Sommelier, writes about the "Brut Prestige - Les Grillons - 1er Cru" from Champagne Guy Mea:

"I recommend serving the Champagne Brut Prestige, 1er Cru, Les Grillons from Guy Méa in a red wine glass! With its herbaceous character – think of lovage, fine tobacco and raisin aromas – it needs a larger glass so that it can really unfold. When drinking, it impresses with its distinctly wine-like character, appears very spicy and notes of walnuts remain in the finish. The champagne's style reminds me of one of the most famous and expensive champagnes: Krug!

The only way to improve it would be to serve it with pasta with fresh porcini mushrooms – or even a rack of lamb with fresh herbs."

Note on possible allergens: contains alcohol, sulfites and residual sugar

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
