Description

Composition: 100% Chardonnay. 15% reserve wines. No malolactic fermentation. Sugar content: 5.5 g/L

Aromas: Bright pale yellow color with lemon and mother-of-pearl reflections. This Blanc de Blancs reveals a delicate nose with aromas of white flowers and citrus fruits, slightly peppery notes, and a hint of linden blossom. It is a balanced champagne with a beautiful aromatic richness, fresh on the attack, very tasty, full-bodied, and with an impression of juicy and fresh fruits.

Recommendation: Ideal as an aperitif, with a zucchini risotto or an oyster platter.

Award: Gault&Millau 90/100

"La tendresse des fleurs champêtres et du sureau se mêle à la rondeur de la pêche blanche, l'onctuosité de la prune mûre. La bouche est plus tonique avec une trame acidulée qui s'équilibre avec de petits amers dans une finale salivante, qui laisse un voile salin sur les lèvres."

En: "The tenderness of wildflowers and elderflower blends with the roundness of white peach, the creaminess of ripe plum. The palate is more tonic with an acidic framework balanced by a slight bitterness, and a tangy finish, leaving a salty veil on the lips."

The top sommelier Natalie Lumpp writes about Champagne Philbert's “Mont Thibé 1er Cru ”:

"The “Blanc de Blancs”, exclusively from Chardonnay grapes – shines in bright gold. It smells like a perfume: incredibly delicate, with hints of grapefruit and perfectly ripe pineapple. It presents itself as very complex, with fine aromas of hawthorn and almond cream. When tasted, it is truly refreshing, lean and fruity – with pear and lychee aromas in the finish. For me, the perfect start to a wonderful Easter celebration: It awakens the spirits and whets the appetite for more! Also delicious with a Quiche Lorraine."

Frequently Asked Questions

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
