Description

Composition: 65% Pinot Meunier, 15% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. 2018 vintage with 40% reserve wines. 5 g sugar content. Disgorgement: Autumn 2023.

Aromas: It has a beautiful shimmering yellow color with a persistent effervescence. On the nose, beautiful aromas of stone fruits like apricot, peach, and mirabelle plum evolve into notes of vanilla and licorice. A wonderful silky tension with a lingering fruity structure.

Recommendation: Ideal as an aperitif, for example, with foie gras on grilled toast or a nice cheese (Comté, Ossau-Iraty).

Award: 1* in the Guide Hachette 2019

Natalie Lumpp, top sommelier, writes the following about the "Réserve" from Champagne Olivier Marteaux:

"The label of Brut Réserve - Champagne Olivier Marteaux indicates 65% Meunier grapes - you can practically smell and taste them. A fine spiciness, reminiscent of cardamom. Then come aromas of blackcurrant, cherries, and heather. On the palate, the intense fruit of blackcurrant and cherries remains. The low acidity underlines the fruitiness with a sweet melt. Delicious as an aperitif - also enjoyable with a Kirschplotzer (cherry schnapps), wild game terrine with blackcurrant, or with duck and red cabbage."

Frequently Asked Questions

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
