Description

Blend: 100% Pinot Meunier from the "Le bas des ruisseaux" parcel in Charly-sur-Marne (40-year-old vineyards). Produced only in the best years. From the 2018 vintage. 3g sugar content. Disgorged in autumn 2023.

Aromas: It has an intense ruby red color with a fine perlage. On the nose, it is powerful with aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry and redcurrant. On the palate, the fine, fresh, fruity and enjoyable aromas reappear. A rosé with power, body and intensity.

Recommendation: Ideal as an aperitif. Pairs very well with desserts with red fruits and chocolate. Wonderful with a piece of cheese like Comté or sheep's cheese (e.g. Ossau-Iraty), also with Parma or Serrano ham. "See life in pink" and dare a new experiment: for example with a raw beetroot carpaccio, add Parmesan, a great combination with the Rosé de Saignée!

Marion Swoboda, BRIGITTE WOMAN - Wine Expert writes in the 01/23 issue: "A very special champagne. In the glass it shows a deep pink color, on the tongue notes of strawberries and blackberries. Very animating and powerful, yet easy to drink - as an aperitif, with fish, vegetarian dishes or cheese. A great champagne at a small price"

Why has champagne always been considered the most erotic of all drinks? asks Natalie Lumpp, our favorite top sommelier.

"For one, I find it incredibly fascinating, again and again, how these fine bubbles form – I could stare at my glass in awe for hours. For another, we know that carbonic acid transports alcohol into the blood a little faster. That not only loosens you up more quickly, but literally makes you feel elated…

I can wholeheartedly recommend the Rosé de Saignée from Olivier&Laetitia Marteaux. In color, it shows a rather stronger, darker rosé and already appears super fresh and animating in scent. A delicate aroma of strawberries gives it richness, accompanied by aromas of caramel and almonds. On the palate, it presents itself as robust, mineral, and it is easy to drink."

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
