Description

Composition: 80% Pinot Meunier, 16% Chardonnay, 4% Pinot Noir, of which 48% are reserve wines. 5 years old. 5 g/L added sugar.

Aromas: This Champagne has a light golden color with fine, fast, and very elegant bubbles. Expressive nose, with notes of toasted hazelnuts, apricot, and mirabelle plum. On the palate, a beautiful opening and open minerality. Plenty of fruitiness with citrus peel, dried apple, as well as brioche and spices, thanks to a minimalist but very precise sweet-sour balance.

Recommendation: Perfect as an aperitif but also with oysters and seafood. Toast with fresh or smoked salmon – sushi, sashimi. Vegetable or fish pâté and savory crumbles. Shrimp skewers with curry.

Award: Hachette 2021 ** and described as follows: "Constructed from the 2016 harvest, this cuvée uses Pinot Meunier (80%), ... with the 2 other varieties as a supplement (mainly Chardonnay). It seduces with its complex expression, between white flowers, slightly stewed fruits and vanilla, which extends into a full, structured and mellow palate, with a fresh and persistent finish, tinged with citrus."

Natalie Lumpp, TOP sommelier, writes the following about "Triolet Extra Brut" from Champagne Léguillette-Romelot:

The label features musical notes and already appears very lively. The Champagne is also like that – wonderfully fruity, although very dry – think of mirabelle plums and tangerines – then fresh vanilla joins in. For me, a truly invigorating and refreshing Champagne with spice and great length! A great companion, for example, to a shrimp cocktail with warm toast, but it can also accompany a main course, such as braised oxtail...

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
