Description

Composition: 100% Chardonnay from the Marne Valley terroir. 2019 harvest. 3.5 Gr/L added sugar.

Orion by Champagne Gabriel is a Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnay, vintage 2019, from the Marne Valley. This vintage champagne impresses with its exceptional purity, balance, and the elegant, varietal expression of Chardonnay. The distinctive terroir of the Marne Valley gives it a lively tension and harmonious ripeness.

Appearance Straw-gold color with very fine, lively perlage – the bubbles rise in a long, persistent string of pearls.

Nose Open, expressive, and elegant: white flowers and citrus fruits in the foreground, complemented by nuances of black tea, Sichuan pepper, almonds, and hazelnuts – a complex and unusually sophisticated aromatic profile for a Blanc de Blancs.

Palate Fresh, precise opening that develops into a full-bodied, generous palate. Clear connection to the nose: candied citrus fruits and cloves. The interplay between spice and crispness, carried by lively perlage, makes every sip an experience. The long, saliva-stimulating finish leaves a calm, balanced palate.

Food Pairings As a gastronomic champagne, Orion shows its versatility with unusual combinations:

  • Red Tuna Tataki – the champagne's spice mirrors the umami depth of the fish
  • Sea Bream Ceviche – citrus notes and acidity harmonize perfectly
  • Veal Blanquette – with increasing maturity, the creaminess of the sauce unfolds ideally
  • Butter Chicken – a surprising but harmonious combination with the spicy aromatic notes

Serving Suggestion Serving temperature 8–10 °C · Recommended: wide champagne glass for full aromatic development · Aging potential: 5–8 years

Note on possible allergens: contains alcohol, sulfites and residual sugar

We offer a carefully curated selection of champagnes from the most renowned houses in the Champagne region. Our portfolio includes classic Brut champagnes, rosé varieties, and special vintages. Each bottle is selected according to strict quality criteria to guarantee you the best taste experience.

Champagne should be stored in a cool, dark place, ideally at a constant temperature between 7-10°C. The bottles should be stored horizontally to keep the cork moist. Avoid direct sunlight and strong temperature fluctuations. Well-stored champagnes can age and gain complexity over many years.

Champagne should be served in flutes or tulip glasses to best preserve its aroma. Chill the bottle for at least 3 hours in the refrigerator or 20 minutes in an ice bucket to 6-8°C. Open the bottle carefully by removing the wire and slowly twisting out the cork. Serve immediately to enjoy its freshness and effervescence.
