Champagne and aperitif
Which champagne is suitable as an aperitif?
A fresh Brut, Blanc de Blancs or Rosé with a high Chardonnay content – fruity, fresh, with citrus aromas – is the ideal choice.
We recommend serving it with: raw vegetables with a yoghurt dip, salmon on toast/blinis, Jamon Serrano, Parma ham or cheese cubes (Comté, Parmesan, Gruyère).
Be careful with typical snacks: most are too fatty and salty and overpower the aromas. Exception: cheese or truffle crisps harmonise surprisingly well with champagne!
